In order to deal with the COVID-19 Coronavirus epidemic and its consequences on the French economy, the government has announced various measures to help companies heavily impacted by the situation. The key measures can be found on the Ministry of Economy website.

The URSAAF networks, the Ministry of Public Finance and the Direccte are also sources of information and can answer your questions.

 Every 3rd Tuesday of the month, from 8.30am to 10.30am at the Hôtel de la Communauté urbaine, 84 rue des Carmélites, Poitiers. Grand Poitiers organises coffee clubs with services of the urban community which can add value to the development of a project or activity (recruitment, innovation, regulations, financial aid, business plan, premises…)

Venture coffee clubs

Every 1st Thursday of the month from 8.30am to 11am at the Tomate Blanche in Poitiers. These are organised by the Crédit Agricole and provide an opportunity to present projects and meet with consultants from consular chambers, law and accounting firms) and from Pole Emploi (the job centre).

ASSISTANCE FOR NEW EMPLOYEES

Grand Poitiers offers companies relocating to the area support for employees affected by the move. By mobilising a multi-disciplinary team (housing, education, associations, culture, sports, employment of spouses), Grand Poitiers can assist newcomers and their families in getting to know the area and settling-in.

 Companies are offered :

  • A presentation of the area and the reception and support system for employees, in line with their expectations.
  • A “Discover the Territory” Day for employees (bus tour, lunch meeting, a walk around…)
  • Personalised support (housing assistance, help for the spouse’s job search, administrative procedures, etc.).

BUSINESS AND EMPLOYMENT COOPERATIVES

Creating differently is possible in Grand Poitiers, in particular thanks to the three BECs (Business and Employment cooperatives), each specialised in a particular sector.

CONSORTIUM COOPERATIVE is a BEC with SCOP (Cooperative and participative company) status, whose main activity is the support of business innovators and cultural professionals. It is intended for artists, authors and entrepreneurs working particularly in these sectors

ACEASCOP FORMASCOPE is a multi-activity company which brings business innovators together. It offers a range of shared services to test “real-life” projects. This BEC is open to those who wish to create their job without immediately setting up their company.

Alterbative is a solution for building trade professionals who wish to create their business differently: it offers shared accounting and administrative management services.

FINANCIAL AID

Various structures can provide financial assistance for setting up or developing your business. In particular, Grand Poitiers offers various types of aid depending on your eligibility.

  • Support for Innovation : Financing innovation projects of companies with strong job potential located in Grand Poitiers.
  • Recruitment assistance : Support in the recruitment process for managers and supervisors
  • Support for real estate investment : Aid for constructing new premises for industrial, commercial or business services intended for sale, rental or lease.
  • Help with property rental : Rent reduction in the buildings belonging to the Communauté urbaine – for SMEs in creation or development.
  • Counselling support : Helping SMEs to use external consultants at key moments in their development.

The Nouvelle Aquitaine Region also contributes to the strengthening of the economy, entrepreneurship and networking capacity of the territory by offering support to business developers and VSEs in the development phases.
